As far as the delivery of the lines, they are very dramatic. Hamlet especially uses his hands in a lot of his lines; grabbing his hair, and lifting his arms in the air. Many of the lines that are spoken from the characters aren’t directly said to another person, but are said privately or to one’s self. Many of the scenes were taken inside a corridor like place. In video two, they then move to the snow when R and G arrive by train.
Portraying of the actor Hamlet: Hamlet is a very emotional character. He gets angry, and then is all of a sudden happy and calm. When calm this may not mean that he is happy, he may be sad, and suddenly burst into an angry frenzy. His emotional swing is clearly a up and down cycle.
The lighting and camera seems to be the same to me, there isn’t much different. However, you can tell that many of them wear old clothes to portray the earlier centuries. The dark settings and no music matches the characters dialogue when he talks slow and low with emotion. Also, when something different happens, such as Hamlets friends arriving by train, the music has a happy, exciting feel to it. The music then gets beautiful when Hamlet talks of his love for someone which signifies the mood.
